We still have plots available for anyone who would like to garden this season. There is one raised bed available still as well. Please contact me to get your plot reserved if you have not already.
One reminder I forgot to mention to gardeners: Please remember we have a lot of hungry critters who would like to eat your produce. You will need to do some kind of fencing once you plant and your plants are up. There is some fencing on the shelf in the shed. That is first come, first serve.
I will be bringing some hay down for mulch as the season progresses. That will be in the shed.
The soil is warming, so you may plant things like lettuce, brassicas (cabbage family plants), spinach, potatoes, onions, peas and Swiss chard. It is still too cold for tomatoes or peppers or beans.
There are seed potatoes and onion sets in the shed for anyone to plant. There are also seeds in there anyone may use. If you have extras of your own seeds, leave them in the shed to share with other gardeners.
The compost bins worked beautifully over the winter and we were able to put finished compost on the raised beds. You may put weeds, kitchen waste or other organic scraps in there. If you are digging up the invasive grass with the long roots, please don't put that in there. Otherwise, any kind of vegetation that isn't too large is fine.
